American Parkinson's Disease Association (APDA)
The APDA was founded in 1961 to “ease the burden and find a cure” for Parkinson's disease. The APDA site offers basic information about Parkinson's disease, as well as links to local chapters and Information Referral Centers.
National Parkinson Foundation (NPF)
The mission of the NPF is to improve the quality of care of people living with Parkinson's disease by supporting research, education, and outreach. The NPF site includes general information about Parkinson's disease, links to local chapters, and information about research studies. The PSG is a non-profit, cooperative group of Parkinson's disease experts from medical centers in the United States and Canada who are dedicated to improving treatment for people affected by the condition. Parkinson's Disease Research, Education and Clinical Centers (PADRECCs)
Established by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, each PADRECC conducts research covering basic biomedicine, rehabilitation, health services delivery, and clinical trials. This site explains the general program and lists contact information for each of the current PADRECCs.
